Jetra Express ("Jetra", "we", "us") provides parcel pickup, delivery, tracking, warehousing and membership services in Nigeria. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. Information we collect
- Account details: name, phone number, email address, password (stored securely encrypted), business name and account tier.
- Shipment details: sender and receiver names, phone numbers, pickup and delivery addresses, parcel description, weight, dimensions and declared value.
- Tracking and delivery records: barcode scans, checkpoint timestamps, proof of delivery (recipient signature, photo, delivery codes).
- Payment and wallet information: wallet balance, funding transactions and refunds processed by licensed gateways (Paystack/Flutterwave). We never store raw card PANs.
- Communications: messages sent through WhatsApp, SMS, web chat, and telephone notes.
- Location data: addresses provided, and for couriers, real-time device coordinates while on duty to power live tracking.
- Device data: IP address, browser type, and preferences (such as light/dark mode selection).
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account, membership plan and Jetra Wallet.
- To dispatch couriers, transport parcels, and update the live tracking map.
- To send operational updates (pickup confirmation, delivery ETA, electronic receipt).
- To process transaction settlements, auto-renewals, and refunds.
- To prevent fraud and maintain the security of our logistics fleet.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data in strict compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and applicable national data protection regulations.
5. Who we share it with
- Riders and operational staff who need address information to execute pickup and delivery.
- Licensed service providers for SMS delivery, WhatsApp messaging, payment processing, and cloud hosting.
- Law enforcement authorities where strictly required by applicable Nigerian law.
6. How long we keep it
Account and order information is retained while your account remains active and for the mandatory period required by Nigerian tax and accounting laws, after which records are anonymized or securely purged.
7. Your rights
Under the NDPA, you have the right to request a copy of your personal data, rectify inaccuracies, request erasure where applicable, and withdraw consent for promotional communications.
8. How we protect it
All traffic is encrypted over TLS/HTTPS. Passwords are hash-encrypted using Bcrypt. System access is strictly restricted by granular staff role permissions.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session and store interface preferences (such as your chosen Light/Dark theme).
10. Children
Our logistics services are intended for individuals aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
